California Interfaith Association News!

March 21, 2018 Hi Everyone. At the San Bernardino interfaith activity on March10th, it was announced that a State Assembly member had proposed a CA State Interfaith Awareness Week and that it was voted on and passed.  I have emailed EVERYONE trying to learn what happened and what we need to do next.  I promise to get back to you as soon as I know anything definite and if we are to receive a proclamation or what. No matter what happens, the 6 San Diego County Interfaith groups and a few other individual faith groups are planning to do something every day/night at different locations throughout San Diego County during the second week in August as part of the celebration.  Then we are planning an Interfaith Outing In The Park at the end of the week for everyone to come together.  It is our hope that areas of California which have a number of Interfaith groups like LA, San Francisco, Fresno, Santa Barbara (?) and such might do similar things.  Or, if there is only one interfaith team in your area, one night you could have an activity at a synagogue, then a church, then a mosque, temple, etc.  In that way we can flood the media, STATE WIDE with Interfaith activities, stories and lessons. Please let me know what you think and what your group may want to do during Interfaith Awareness Week, August 5-11, 2018.  As soon as I find a computer savvy  website creator who wants to share his or her abilities for the good of the cause, I will see about the getting the pages which will have links to each of your websites on to:  www.cainterfaith.org  .
