Welcome to August of 2018! Next Sunday 8/5 will begin the 2nd annual Interfaith Awareness Week and it will be even more special than the first. In 2017 we celebrated the event in San Diego County. This year we are celebrating with the entire state of California! AND, we even have some interfaith groups in other U.S. states which are also celebrating with us!!! If this trend continues we may have hundreds of interfaith groups throughout the United States celebrating IAW the 2nd week in August of 2019.
I am overwhelmed by the desire of so many people to honor and respect everyone and agree that human rights belong to every person. In San Diego County we have 11 interfaith events happening in 8 days. Truly… Our Cup Runneth Over!
Thank You to all of the CA interfaith groups for getting on board with the CIA this year, and for all each of you do for “Interfaith” throughout the year. By PUBLICLY involving ourselves in: World Religion Day, World Interfaith Harmony Week, World Day of Prayer, World Peace Day, and the like, as well as each of the religion’s holy days and celebrations, we bring attention to the sanctity of all faiths and all people around the world.
