Dear Interfaith Collogues,

The California Interfaith Association, which you are a part of, made a difference last month.  In San Diego County alone we had over 600 people attend the 8-days of 13 interfaith events.  The CIA now has 60 interfaith groups in California plus interfaith groups in 10 other States who have joined us.  At the July, North American Interfaith Network’s “Connect” Conference in Edmonton Canada, I was asked if the Canadian groups could be a part of what we are doing.  Since that time Austria has joined.  To that end, please check out our new “GLOBAL” page of the CIA website www.cainterfaith.orgYOU ARE NOT ALONE !

For those of you who do not know me, please understand that I am not planning a global take over by the CIA. What my heart wants to do is get the word INTERFAITH in the minds of people throughout the year.  The idea of all people honoring and respecting all faiths, cultures, creeds, and seeking to learn from those who believe equal spiritual opportunity and human rights belong to every person, is all I ask for.

Please advertise “INTERFAITH” throughout the year by your group’s participation in the many activities which should already be on your calendar.  They include but are not limited to: World Religion Day, World Interfaith Harmony Week, World Day for Social Justice, National Day of Prayer, Interfaith Awareness Week, Intl. Day of Peace, Intl. Day of Non-Violence, as well as celebrating the many individual faith holidays and events each month.

Let your local newspapers know each time you do an Interfaith event and tell them that other Interfaith events are occurring all over the country and throughout the world.  Highlight what you are doing on your website; this will allow anyone on the CIA website to hyperlink for the details.  Attend the yearly NAIN ‘Connect’ conference and the Parliament of the World’s Religions when they occur.  If you know of interfaith groups ANYWHERE which are not on the CIA list, have them contact me so we can include their activities.  Be involved and speak out for Interfaith – this is how we help bring harmony to our world!

Blessings,

Steve
